Rep. Jim Jordan, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, said he expects “every single Republican” to vote against a formal resolution to affirm the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. The House vote is expected Thursday. Speaking ahead of testimony from Alexander Vindman, an Army lieutenant colonel who listened to the phone call between Trump and Ukraine’s president in July, Jordan said the fundamentals of the controversy have not changed. He repeated Trump's assertion that there was “no pressure” put on Ukraine to investigate former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his family.
