Karim Benzema enjoyed a night to remember at the 2022 Ballon d'Or Awards in Paris on Monday.

The Real Madrid forward was named the recipient of the 2022 Ballon d'Or, officially being recognised as the best player in the world.

Football icons and fans alike were in attendance to celebrate Benzema's incredible year, in which he scored 44 goals in 46 games as Real Madrid won LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League.

Benzema is the first French footballer to win the prestigious accolade since Zinedine Zidane in 1998.
