Some unknown gunmen early Thursday invaded the home of Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho killing 3 persons in the process and injuring several others .

The gunmen according to one of the occupants of the house located in Soka area of Ibadan disclosed that the attackers were dressed in military camouflage.

Property worth millions of naira were destroyed while the incident lasted.

The Department of State Services later addressed the press where they confirmed that their men carried out the raid following intelligence that Igboho was stockpiling arms in the house.

Peter Afunanya, the DSS spokesperson said two of Igboho’s guards were killed during the raid after they allegedly attacked the men who carried out the operation.

He also paraded 13 persons arrested from the house as well as several items taken away by the security operatives from Sunday Igboho’s home.
