Most people only ever use their axe in one way. But by switching hands, you can unlock more efficiency, protect your back, and get the job done faster. In this video, I demonstrate how to use both sides of your body when bucking logs, and why it makes such a difference.

This technique is especially useful with longer or heavier axes, such as three-quarter or full-size felling axes, but it’s relevant for your half-length bushcraft axe too.
