Small homemade tube guitar amp with 6J1/6K4 pentodes (demo and schematic walkthrough)

This is a small desk-top tube hybrid guitar amplifier with two small chinese pentodes (running as triodes) as the preamp and a TDA2030 Hi-Fi chip as the power amp. All the voltage gain comes from the tubes and the solid state section drives the speaker – which is a generic 3 inch, 4 ohm “multimedia” speaker. The amplifier is built into a box for Darjeeling tea and it runs at a relatively low voltage (off a 24V DC adapter) and puts something between 5 and 10 watts through the speaker at max volume.

Edit: Though the tubes I bought were sold as 6j1 tubes, upon closer inspection they appear to be 6k4 tubes, which have the same pin layout but slightly different specifications.
