Kenan Yildiz made his sixth Champions League appearance, tying the record for the most appearances by a Juventus player under 20 in the competition (matching Fabio Miretti and Paul Pogba). The young Turkish player also provided the assist for the opening goal in the 53rd minute, sending in a cross for Vlahovic to score with a header despite Ederson’s attempt to keep it out.
City fought hard to get back into the game, controlling possession for much of the second half, but they fell 2-0 behind when Timothy Weah delivered a cross for McKennie to volley home.
Thiago Motta’s Juventus moved up to 13th place in the standings, while Manchester City now face a tough challenge in their final two games to secure qualification.
