During a reminisce in court, Edgeworth remembers the promise that he made his father before death, Phoenix Wright, trying to help his friend feel better, tells him to stop visualizing the traumatic memory in his head like a GIF.
Phoenix’s mispronunciation of the word “GIF” puts the two gentlemen in the middle of a heated debate on the correct use of the letter “G” in different contexts.
