A 95-year-old Second World War Ghanaian veteran, Private Joseph Hammond is walking two miles a day for a week to raise funds to deal with the novel coronavirus.

Hammond hopes the money will help frontline workers and vulnerable veterans across Africa win the battle against the dreaded virus.
