The 6J1 kit was cheap, at about 19$. It works... sort of, but these tubes are crap. One doesn't work, and the other doesn't give any magic. There are US tubes that will substitute, and others have said they are way better, but heck if I know. I almost don't feel like throwing money at new tubes, but rumor has it that it works better with a 6AK5 tube.
