A very partial admission of guilt… Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has said he is partly to blame for the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul last October. He says Saudi Arabia has 3 million government employees, including ministers with the authority to coordinate a wide range of international activities.Mohammed bin Salman made the comments in an interview with US broadcaster PBS, for a documentary to be aired on Oct 1 — just before the one-year anniversary of Khashoggi’s assassination.Hatice Cengiz, the fiancee of the late journalist, wants more answers. But a series of international inquiries — including one by the UN — have uncovered evidence directly incriminating the crown prince.Mohammed bin Salman has not visited the United States or Europe since, and is not attending this week’s United Nations General Assembly.
