Arsenal won the Community Shield after beating Liverpool 5-4 on penalties. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had opened the scoring for the FA Cup winners with a fantastic goal, but Takumi Minamino’s leveller in the second half took the game to a penalty shoot-out.
