6j1 tube preamp
modded with 6k4 tubes and 2 extra electrolytic capacitors for better heater noise filter improved power supply noise filtering.

This Diy kit is great for beginners, but I would not make this your first project, maybe 2nd or 3rd. The instructions are a little lacking, and you are dealing with higher voltages that have the potential to injure you or even kill you if you get shocked by lack of experience or mistakes.

So, be careful and educate yourself on some of the basics of electrical safety before diving in.

The 6j1 tube preamp kit is a great sounding preamp for its price point. and could easily be put into a nice enclosure or container as a nice addition to your hifi setup.
